■TWO TRAGEDIES. [United Press Association.] Melbourne, Qctober 2”. I. A tragedy has occurred at Collingwood. where an invalided pensioner named William Green and a woman named McCormick, his housekeeper, were found shot dead, in Green’s residence. It is surmised that Green killed the woman, and then himself, as the outcome of recent quarrels. Rome, October 27. A porter named Charlton, who was charged with the murder of his wife, whose body was found enclosed in a trunk at Bake Como in June, 1910, was sentenced to six and two-thirds years’ imprisonment, hut taking into account the time lie has already been imprisoned he will he liberated a month hence.
