(iimner Huso will be farewelled by the residents of Midhirst and district at a inaction in the hall to-morrow night, when it is expected there will be a big attendance. Mr A. H. Johnstone, solicitor, New Plymouth, and well-known in Stratford, where for some time he was in partnership with the late Lt.-Col. Malone, has offered hi, s services tor the Reinforcements. The friends of Mr H. Burmester will he pleased to hear that his son, lyric, who met with a painful accident at Xgaere on Monday, i s progressing as well as can be expected. From present appearances, no serious effects are anticipated.
