Arriving unexpectedly in the Market Square of a terrain town, ho was recognised by a woman tram conductor, who called out “Vivi Le Rbi!” The crowd immediately mobbed the Royal motor car, and there was enthusiastic hurrahs, the children bringing great bunches of flowers. ’I be King laughingly questioned .a child to hear her knowledge of the English language. The village children are learning English in exchange for teaching the British wounded the French language. The King recognised a former servant of King Edward, and expressed his admiration of the man, who had returned the the Colours despite his j sixty-three years. j The King specially visiled Wimereuk to see the Australian Hospital and in-’ speeded the wards in the Golf Hotel. 1 He spoke to most' of the patients, and visited the officers’ quarters in the Golf .Club House, also the portable hospital which holds eighty patients.
