ON THE CARSO FRONT. United Press Association. Koine. October 21. A communique states: —Wo carried by assault .Mount Xotic, westward of Lake Gard, thus completing the command of Ledi-o Valley. W’e progressed in the upper middle .Isonzo, and after sanguinary lighting on the whole front of Carso, particularly ton aids San Martimo del Caro, and captured three thousand prisoners, including sixty officers, and a great quantity of munitions. Koine. October 25. Another communique states: —We obtained further successes at Lebro Valley, occupying the northern heights and dominating the Bezzeca basin. We repulsed an attack at the outlet ol Popena valley and completed the occupation of south-eastern slopes of Orzli, repulsing two violent attacks at Ondii. There was determined fighting on both sides all day Saturday at Cais,o plateau. Our infantry advanced impetuously, and important positions I were captured and recaptured by both sides several times. By the evening 'we had solidly maintained our progress on the left wing, eastward of Peteano, and in the centre towards i Marcottins. W r e took one thousand prisoners and captured three mitraili lenses in the Isonzo. Rome, October 26. A communique states: We captured •positions in the Adige zone, complet--1 mg the hold on the road from Kiva to More, capturing a great quantity of material. W T e repulsed attacks, at Merzli, and have carried strong entrenchments in the Plava.zone. Three Austrian aeroplanes renewed the attack on Venice in the morning, their bombs wounding several people. [Little damage was done. There is ' indignation throughout I I taly at the barbarous destruction of 1 the Tiepolo and the priceless ceiling of the Degli Scalzi church.
