The bowling-on both sides was good, but as much cannot be said for the batting. At 10.30 the"match started, Macdonald opened with the bowling. Two or three rims resulted from the first three' overs, but in" the fourth (Coutt's second), Fuller was '.clean bowled. Oliver was caught by Auld off the next ball—2 for 7. In the next three overs, a few runs were added, but in Coutts' fourth over, Paul was clean bowled— 'A for 19. In Macdonald's next over, Griffin was ■eaught by Couuts off the third ball—--4 for 19." Off the last ball, Jury was ■ bowled—s for 21.
