The Rev. Father Moloney, of Wanganui, lias been appointed the Catholic Chaplain to the Marama. Father Moloney, was for many years on the staff of St. Patrick's College, Wellington. Captain T. Grubb; at a meeting of the Stratford Volunteer Fire Brigade held the other evening, presented Lieutenant A. .1. Davey with a fiveyear service medal, and Foreman W. Rowson and Foreman B. Burgess each a two-year service bar. A MILITARY WEDDING. A wedding was solemnised on Thursday in the Presbyterian Church, Stratford, between Mr John S. Cameron (late of Manaia and Rawhitiroa), and Miss Fileen Brickell. second youngest daughter of Mr R. B. Brickell, of Tututawa. The bride, who was escorted up the aisle by her father, wore a charming dress of white embroidered voile, trimmed with valencienne's lace and insertion. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of cream roses. The bride was attended by her sister as bridesmaid, who was gowned in white crepe de chine, with hat to match, and also carried a bouquet of cream roses. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Medina rooms, when the usual toasts and good wishes were expressed. The happy couple left by mail train for New Plymouth for a ghorfc honeymoon before the groom leaves for Trentham, where he is with his regiment, awaiting their despatch for the front.
