The latest returns show that the results are : — . .„„ r i Bothaites 41, Unionists 38 Independent 5, Nationalists 24 Labor 4. Mr Van Heerdeu, Minister, lor Agriculture was re-elected, defeat.ng Hon. F S Milan, the leader of the Cape Nationalists. Sir T. Watt (Minister of Public Works), Mr Smart and General Hertaog were also elected. The Loyalists are especially delighted at the defeat of 'Mr Fremantle the onlv Englishman in. the Nationalist s ! tv to the leadership of winch he spired, and who wa s mainly .responsible for the bitterness of the cam paign.
