ELECTION RESULTS. United Press Association. (Received 8.35 a.m.) Capetown, October 21. General Smuts, Sampson (Laborito .Whip), Abe Bailey and Fitzpatrick were elected. Cresswell was defeated. For two places Poutsma and Andrews were defeated. Sorfontein (Nationalist) who was imprisoned during the rebellion, was elected for Kronstadt, defeating Deivit (Minister of Justice). " J. B. Robinson (Independent) was elected for Randfontein, together with Harris (Independent) for Beaeonsfield, and Sir Crewe (Unionist) for East London. general Botha's nominee for Potchef stroom, where the rebellion was hatched, was elected by a three-to-two majority. A striking feature in the Wibau centres was the large Unionist majorities over the-Laborites. Pretoria, October 21. There was heavy polling throughout the Union. Durban, October 21. Kentridge (Laborite) defeated Henwood (Unionist) for Durban. Central.
