SCHOOLMASTER'S SUICIDE. Feb Pases LagaociAiiOM. Dunedin, October 20. The police have received word that John Wilsou, schoolmaster at Ophir, committed suicide yesterday by cutting his throat with a razor. ALLEGED ILLEGAL OPERATION. Dunedin, October 20. At the adjourned inquest on Catherine Stanley, aged 34 years, who died in the hospital on October 6, the medical evidence showed that death was the result of an illegal operation. The mother and husband of deceased alleged that an operation was performed by Mrs Maud Marion Turner, but the latter and an alleged accomplice (Mrs Towler) denied any connection with the matter. The inquest was adjourned till Friday.
