A, demonstration of Wilkinson's patent" carbon-remover was successfully made this , morning at Norcross' Garage by -the patentee in the presence fii a number of motorists. Mr Geo. Hall's car was.•operated upon, and the results of the'use of the remover fully showed that the patent will prove a boon to owners. , After Mr Horusby's . meeting at Whyngatnomona,- similar meetings; were held at the Tunnel and also at Kohuratahi. At all three places there were splendid attendances. A deep impression seemed to have been made on those -present, and it is probable there will be a good influx of recruits. After the meeting at Whanga, the local people entertained the visitors, light refreshments being served, and a short toast list was gone through. Mr W. A. McCutchan presided, and a very enjoyable time was spent. Several young men who are going to the front were present. Mr Hornsby and party returned to Stratford by the afternoon train to-dav.
