A communique says: Latest information confirms the report that the violent German counter-attack against the-1 Anglo-French , front i,n the past few days from Lops nortjnvard was costly. Four divisions made the principal assault, but were completely repulsed and dispersed. The enemy left on..the front of the Allied line between seven and eight thousand dead. -. I' i i J MORE GERMAN TROOPS FOR THE o -west; ■) I Copenhageni October 11. Large numbers of German jfcroops are proceeding to the Western front, including many naval men from Kiel and Heligoland. HICH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The High Commissioner reports:— London, October 11 (4.35 p.m.) There has been a heavy bombardment north of Lasscrapo behind the front in Champagne and in the region of Souain. Fresh news confu'nisithat the recent violent counter-attacks at Loos and to the north resulted in a complete repulse "of the Germans.
