I j The schedule for tbe Stratford Show to be held on the Ist and 2nd Decemjber is now printed, niur may be had 'from the secretary (Mr A. D. Stanley). The schedule is most comprehensive. It has been thoroughly revised by sub-committees appointed by 'the Association, and a number of new 'and attractive classes have been added to the horse section. Chief amongst jthem is a class for best pair of utility horses, suitable for artillery purposes. This will be a popular class, and [should meet with a record number of 'entries. . I In the cattle section mention must be made that a sum of £ls is to be 'awarded for pedigree .Jersey cow, any 'age, holding authenticated milk and ! butter-fat records under the supervision of the New Zealand Department of Agriculture. Cows to be judged on type. For this class, the Jersey Breeders' Association have kindly donated a special prize of £~ 10s. This has been augmented by a further sum of &7 10s by the Stratford A. and P. Association, and will be awarded as follows:—lst prize £B. 2nd £4, 3rd £2. 4th £l. This is the largest prize that has ever been offered by the Association in any one class, and the Association are to be congratulated thereon. It behoves the breeders to make an entry worthy of the prizes offered. Home industries is always an attractive exhibit at the Show, and should this year secure a record number of entries. This section of the schedule has been thoroughly revised by a Ladies' Committee. Many important additional classes have been added, and liberal prize-money provided. The other different sections, sheep, pigs, dogs, poultry, dairy and other produce, technical and,school children exhibit*, have all been revised, and in many instances prize money lias been increased. The Donation Committee who have I canvassed the town and country for special prizes report that the response has been most gratifying. This is as it should be, and goes to show that the public of this district are fully alive to the importance of their annual fixture. Given fine weather, the Stratford Show of 1915 should be a record one.
