THE APARIMA MEN. POLICE AND AMBULANCE. ACT OF JUSTICE SUGGESTED. A question of considerable importance to a number of people in various parts of the Dominion was raised'in the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon by Messrs T. M. Wilford (Hutt) and L. M. Isitt (Christchttrch North). Mr Wilford asked whether the Minister would not publish the names of the thirteen men who came back by the Aparima as military police and Red Cross men. Seven men had come back with police badges, and the rest were ambulance orderliesi He had in his mind the case of one man who belonged to Wellington. He did not wish to go into details, but there was one case where a man who was engaged was refused admittance into the house of his fiancee because he came back in the Aparima. Mr Isitt urged that the Minister should officially publish the names of the men who had returned as police or attendants. The question was a painful one, but it was of the greatest importance to those who were concerned.
In reply, the Minister said that he would be pleased to publish officially the names of these men. He was sorry that a misunderstanding had taken place, and he would be only too pleased' to remove it.
