STRATFORD RELIEF COMMITTEE’S APPEAL. [To Tin: Editor Stratford Post'.] Sir.— laist winter tlie Stratford Committee sent thirteen large cases of warm woollen clothes for the Belgians- . and now another winter is corning, and still over 3,000.000 Belgians are destitute, and if it wage not for subscriptions front other countries, would he starving. The present, and most urgent want is that the women, children. and old men may receive sufficient warm clothing to enable them to live through next winter, and we in the Stratford district can give onr late winter’s part worn, or outgrown surplus clothing for this purpose, and thus do onr share for the destitute of a Nation that at so great a cost to itself undoubtedly saved the situation by delaying the huge German Army for three weeks. Each Wednesday and Saturday, ending on Saturday, the 16th October, the old butcher’s shop, kindly lent by Mr W. W. Hodge, and where the Belgian Hag is now Hying, south of tin* Patea River bridge, will he kept open from 1 to 6 p.m. for the purpose of 'receiving parcels of clothing,, and the' Town Clerk at the Stratford Fire Brigade Station will also receive parcels qf .jclothing.
