■ —— The following is the annual report ito be laid before shareholders at the sixteenth annual meeting, to he held in the Parish Hall,, Inglewood, on Satin day, Uth October:— The number oi pigs received has again.increased, and the average price paid has been about the same as for f the previous year. .Notwithstanding I the increased number of pigs received the Company has again had to refuse orders lor bacon, thus showing that the Company’s products continue to hold a satisfactory position on the (market. During the year the Company has paid the shareholders the sum of Did, 188 J.is Bd, and a further payment oi £675 4s Bd, being at the rate of one farthing per pound on all oacouers and porkers has been authorised to be paid. A refund of five pence per pig out of the insurance fund has ueen authorised, also a dividend of ■> per cent, on shave capital. The sum oi £3611 IVs has been written off for depreciation at the same fate as last jyear, and a net balance of £U 14s 5d is brought forward. The share capital account has been maintained in a satisfactory condition. During the year 617 shares have become forfeited, and tlie amount paid up on them. £fhl 7s sd, has been placed to a reserve account. lour directors have consideredi it advisable to make provision for handling a larger number of pigs, and lids has entailed the erection of substantial additions to the factory huiluings. These additions are now completed, and when equipped with added plant will enable the Company to cope with a largely increased supply. The outlook for the coming season is again good, and high prices are likely to rule. You are required to elect twq directors in place of Mcssis Drown and Hall, who retire in rotation, and are eligible for re-election. An auditor is also required. Mr Hopsou again oilers his services. •
