LABOR OPPOSES CONSCRIPTION. 400 RESOLUTIONS RECEIVED BY PREMIER. United Press Association (Received 11.20 a.in.) London, September 29. Replying to Mr, W. J. Thorne (Labor member for West Ham) in the House of Commons, the Hon. Mr Asquith said that be bad received four hundred resolutions from workers protesting against conscription. K OF K’S 1916 ARMY. London. September 29. The Daily Chronicle states that Cabinet is considering Lord Kitchener’s estimate of a largely increased army in 1916. THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE. (Received Noon). London, September 29. Mr Chamberlain, replying to Mr Rees, said no decision bad yet been come to respecting India’s representation at the Imperial Conference. The Government could not decide without the Dominions.
