AMUSEMENTS.

irIANAWATU PATRIOTIC SHOW, 1915. The prestige of this . famous show stands high and the decision of the Committee to hold the thirtieth fixture solely for the benefit of our Sick iii'd Wounded Soldiers' Fund will have the effect of increasing that prestige, lhe dates are 3rd, 4th, and sth -of November. The schedule now to hand again shows progress, and though space does not permit us to review it at length, we might draw attention to the fact that the prize money has not been cut down, but has, on the other hand, been somewhat increased. A fine new cattle pavilion is in course of erection on two new sections recently taken in. This will give great satisfaction to cattle exhibitors, as their valuable stock will now all be under cover. The removal of the old pens will afford the machinery exhibitors more elbow room and a certain amount of planting will greatly improve the appearance of the grounds. The committee has generously placed the big machinery hall at the disposal of the West Coast Patriotic Societies, including .Wellington and (to) Wanganui. The Jfauawatu Kennel Club's annual championship show will be held as usual. Those of our readers who have visited previous shows at Palmerston North do not need to be asked to -go again, as they migrate thither naturally if business allows, but to. those who have not had the pleasure, education and satisfaction to be obtained thereat we can only say that with the assistance of such a worthy! object in view they will not be disappointed should they decide to go to the forthcoming event. All information and schedules may be obtained from the secretary, Mr W. T. Penny, Box 85, Palmerston North, and as Palmerston North is usually fairly crowded at Show time it may be as well to book up accommodation early.
