An enthusiastic meeting pi delegates was held here to-day to discuss the proposal to Tor a Scottish Regiment to go to the front. The lollowlng delegates present; —-Messis JMackay (Takapan), W. Oliphant (Auckland), Charles Brown (Christchurch), W H. Kilgour (Dunedin), TV. Gillespie (Masterton), Alexander Keid (Mangatoiuoka), T. S. Arcus (Waimariuo), R. W. Raeburn (Ohakuno), TV. G. Murray, D. Moir, H. A. Martin, and TV. Ferguson (Rangitikoi), A. FI. Ross (Danuevirke), J. Colliugwood," E. H. McCloud, and D. McLean (Fcilding). Mr Gillespie said the idea of tho meeting was that they should go whole-heartedly for the formation of a Highland Regiment, similar to that of Canada.
