United Press Association. Melbourne, September 24. Tbo Coal and Shale Employees’ Federation’s application for compulsory conference was granted and fixed | ifor the 30th. Judge Baddeley stated, that he believed that unless a conference was held a crisis would arise I involving fourteen thousand members 'of the Federation. Hobart, September 24. ( In the Assembly, the Premier announced that both parties had agreed to a political truce till March, 1917, |on condition that the Governor consults the members of the Liberal Party on legislative matters. Should any disagreement arise before July, 1916, there will be a dissolution.
