ALLIES’ PROGRESS REPORT. SATISFACTORY OPERATIONS. - [United Press' Association.] (Received 2:5 p.m.) * Paris. September 24. Our artillery at the Dardanelles forced the Turks to abandon a fortified position at Kereves Dere, Valley and bombarded Acid Baba and the Asiatic batteries, directed by our aviators. Our losses were not important. Turco-Gerraan aviators have not appeared for a considerable' period. Ours make fyaily flights, resulting in effective bombardments of the Tiirkishj headquarters and transports at the wharves. The activity of the British submarines in the Sea of Marmora is marvellous. \ With onr brave Allies in the north zone an important engagement culminated in the junction of the troops from Anzac and Sulva Bay.
