September 24.* As tlio outcome of n meeting, dissatisfied -Ministerialists asked the Premier that a Ministry agree to confer with the remainder of the party on the question of electing a newministry, or alternatively of electing a Premier who would choose his own colleagues. Mr Peacock subsequently announced that Cabinet would consider the matter. Mr H. McKenzie is generally regarded as the leader of the new section.
