MESSAGE FROM HER CAPTAIN. Tkr Press Association. Wellington, September 21. The Minister for internal Affairs has received, through the High Commissioner, a cable irom Captain John F. E. Green, who has succeeded Captain Lionel Halsey in command of the hattle-cTuisor Xew Zealand. “1 have the honor to inform you that Captain Lionel Halsey, having been appointed to the iron Duke as Commodore of the first class and Captain of the Fleet, I have taken over command of H.M.S. Xew Zealand in his place. Having followed the history of the ship since she was first offered to the Mother Country, I fully appreciate the honor and responsibility which has been conferred on me by their Lordships and I can assure von that 1 shall do my utmost to maintain tho high state of efficiency in which 1 have found the ship, that she may ho a credit to the Dominion and a woithy response to the patriotism and loresight of her people on the next occasion of her being, tried.”
