COLLIERY FIRE IN WARWICK- ■ SHIRE. TEN LIVES LOST. United Pbem association. (Received 9.9 >a.m.) London, September 21. A lire broke out in' the shaft of the Exhall Colliery, Nuneaton, wire* 250 men were below and two hundred were cut off, hut the majority were rescued. Ten bodies have been recovered. NEW SOUTH WALES’ FIGURES. United Press Association. (Received 9.25 a.m.) Sydney, September 22. The auditor, in his general report, shows that the increase in th© receipts was £507,999 compared to 1913. Direct taxation increased £627,011; railway and tramway reciepts decreased by £24,055; the Public Debt increased by £11,040,374, which is now £137,735,405. Six State industrial undertakings aggregiated a loss of £33,222, and eight aggregiated a gain of £32,495. The nett loss involved since the inauguration of the i undertakings totals £21,222.
