A German communique states: General von Hindenhurg forced the Russia hs to retreat south-west to Dvinsk, which resulted in the Russian attempt to break through at Oryanjack. ilie retreat of the Riisisans in the Vilna district is proceeding- The Russians are temporarily resisting at- a feu points only. General von Mackensen every where forced the Russians Inrthor hack.
