United Press Association. (Received 8.50 a.m.) Sydney, September 20. Mr Black states that he is still agitating the Federal Government to remove the embargo on the export of meat, pointing out that there is meat stored in New South Wales intended for the Imperial' Government and for which New South Wales paid £50.000. The Imperial Government refused to take delivery and the meat was deteriorating and could not be sold here except at two pence per lb of a loss. The meat works are closing down, the action of the Federal Government tending to divert the meat export trade to Victoria. The. small arms factory strike has been settled and the men are returning to work to-day. Melboudne. September 20. Four deaths, three new cases of meningitis at the weekend are announced. . The supply of Flexner's serum has arrived from America, and it is anticipated its use will make a great difference in the'percentage.of deaths. Brisbane, September 20.
