Nursery Handicap, of 150 sovs, four furlongs.—Lady Flysian (8.0) 1, Independence (7.9) 2, Rekanui ,3. All started. Won by a head. Time 51 l-ssee. ( Avondale Guineas, of 220 sovs, one mile.— Glissando 1, Colonnade 2, Analogue and Tepapa (dead heat) 3. Scratched: Vfadineau. Taj, Mahal, Lady Paula, and filly by Punury. Glissando was in front most of the way. and won by two and a-half lengths. Time Imin 46 3-ssec. Pduinpton Handicap, of .35050v5'.., one mile and a furlong.—Royal Irish (8.4) I. Tinopai (8.0) 2, Guiding Way, (7.7) .3. Scratched: Mummer and} Bluestone. Won by a length'and a half. Time. Imin 58sec. ■ A London cablegram states that the racehorse St. Orme died at the Eaton stud.
