A practice availed of in many thea-' tres would he welcome . in Stratford during the performances in d*e Town' Hall. Late arrivals are not permitted to enter the body of uhe hall:driving the course of an item and have to remain outside until the item is concluded. Locally, late coiners are permitted to enter, the hall at my time. and in every case the performance is disturbed through people going upstairs invariably making a diverting noise, inconsiderate of the arci't air 1 . the audience. This should not be the case, and late-comers both at the beginning of the performances and the intervals, and after a 'deoch and doris' during the interval should be kept outside, and not be allowed to distract the audience by their thoughtless action.

A novel social evening for the Territorials and Senior Cadets will he given by Mv< C. Gray oWi* October 14. The money derived from the tickets goes to augment Ate funds of the Ladies' . Supper will he supplied by the ladies during the evening. Lieutenant Cray is donating a modern Lee Enfield rifle to the Territorial or Senior Cadet who disposes of the largest number ot tickets. The Lee Enfield rifle was presented to Lieut. Gray by Mr George Hunter on the eve of his de-. parture for the Trentham Camp re j cently, and the winner will, no. doubt, prize highly such a splendid memento. I
