MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. United Press Association. Rome, September 13. A communique says: Strong enemy reinforcements are approaching Santa Maria and Tolinitio. The enemy are building fresh defensive works of an almost permanent character in the Lower Isonzo, and fresh Austro-Hun-garian contingents, with heavy artillery, are arriving. The enemy shelled the docks at Monfalcoine, damaging some vessels. London. September 13. The Daily Express' Geneva correspondent says that there is great preparation for a battle for Gorizia and Tolmino. There are three hundred thousand Austrians in this sector, and the same number between Gorizia and Trieste. Reinforcements are arriving at Laibach and Yillaeh, probably from the Russian front.
