FAMILY'S BIG RECORD.
«->_ TWENTY-ONE RELATIONS—ALL SOLDIERS. Private Douglas Hamilton, 2nd Royal Scots, who was wounded at Cam bra i during the retreat from Mons and lost the sight of one eye, belongs to a family whose record of service with the colors would be hard to beat. Private Hamilton is one of six brothers, all soldiers. Ho has, in addition to this, ten cousins, two uncles, one nephew, and two brothers-in-law who have, been or are now soldiers. Hamilton's family record is as follows s :—.Daniel M'K. Hamilton (brother), R.F.A.. reported missing; Murdoch M'Lellan Hamilton (brotber), R.F.A., killed whilst rescuing wounded; Douglas Hamilton, 2nd Royal Scots, wounded at Cambrai during retreat. from Mons. Three brothers are on home service, two Lrothers-in law in France, five- cousins •ii active .service, throe cousins killer! and missing, and two cousins, two uncles, and one nephew on bom© service. The six brothers set vice amounts to 72 years, and three of them hold a total of ten war medals.
