AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. “Fight in the woods at Argonne,” a special and authentic war picture, was screened last night for the first time in addition to the “Shannon of the Sixth” programme. After seeing this war picture all must admit that the cinematograph operator in taking the picture certainly took his life into his own hands in forging his way into the firing line with his camera. The pictures are clear and gi-aphic, depicting first a patrol of French Dragoons reconnoitring near , next a motor car is stopped by the advance guard, then a fodder convoy passes the camera ; next is seen Zouaves and Marine Fusiliers sharpshooting on the outskirts of the woods, artillery observers directing the fire of the famous “75” French gun, and other scenes, including the Silent March. The six pert war drama, “Shannon of the 1 Sixth.” was again a popular item, and other films are shown, including Pathe’s War Gazette. The same programme will he repeated to-night, and on Monday Stratford picture-goers will say good-bye to the Knthlyu scries.
