Tho Assembly carried the Wheat Acquisition Amendment Bill, extending the operation of the original act to the New South Wales wheat yield. The ensuing harvest is estimated at sixty million bushels. Melbourne, September 10. The Boards of the Hercules, Primrose and Tasmanian Copper Companies decided to recommend their shareholders, to amalgamate with the Mt. Lyall , Company or form a separate company. Melbourne, September 10. The Australian representative of Sanatogen, referring to Mr Hughes' statement of August 22, states that every ounce of Sanatogen coming to Australia is made in England and is admitted under the British preferen- < tial tariff at Sydney.
