Mr Tbreadgill, Physical Inspector and Instructor, is at present visiting the schools in the Stratford district. Mr Threadgill ga\> tlie pupils of the Cardiff School their first lesson yesterday, and expressed- himself as pleased with the way in which the scholars went through the exercises.
The picture “The Fighting Annies of Fnrope,” will he shown in Stratford on September 17th at the Town Hall. Tlie pictures were photographed at great personal risk by Mi - 0. Ik Holmes, who is travelling with tluy picture, and who describes each scene. Many exciting scenes are thrown on the screen, and from beginning to end the picture is a “thrill.”
Tlie Stratford Ladies’ Patriotic Committee will meet at the Fire Brigade Hall on Saturday afternoon, at ;!.;)() o’clock. The ladies are working Jiard for the soldiers and have been granted permission by the A. and lb Society to erect a tent, generously presented by Mr I'. Lamason. for the purpose of an afternoon tea stall, the proceeds of which are to go to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund.
Mesdames Skoglnnd and Malone are holding “a market” in the O.H.A. Buildings on Saturday, to augment the funds to purchase goods for their stall at the Bazaar to be held iu the Town Hall in December' under the auspices of the Ladies’ Patriotic Committee. The promoters of the “market” will be pleased to receive gifts of vegetables, dairy produce, (lowers, etc. The whole of the proceeds are to be donated to the Sick and Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, so that it is hoped the “market” will he verv success-
