AMUSEMENTS.
HiS MAJESTY'S THEATRE, "Love, Speed and Thrills," the spec- ( ial Keystone comedy in two parts, was | again the principal attraction at His ( Majesty's Theatre last night. From, the opening title to its conclusion the ( audience are treated to a veritable! carnival of laughter with Mabel Nar-, mand, "The Queen of Comedy," in the | load throughout. Other entertaining films screened were: "The Beat of thej Year," "A Rude Awakening," "Pathe War Gazetted" The actual war pic-, ture, entitled "The Battle of the. Dunes," was shown in addition to the usual programme, and was received with tumultuous applause. The film, shows a French scout giving the warn-, ing of a German advance and the cyclist corps advancing to meet the attack. Then the regiment is seen "advancing at the double over the dunes and taking up its station of defence. The German attack fails; the French dash over the front of the hill, supported by reinforcements. Altogther the film is a genuinely realistic picture of actual happenings in the firing line. On Monday the last but one of the Kathlyn series will be the feature in the change of programme.
