Miss Isabel Hunter, of Stratford, won the medal presented by the Sisters of the Convent for the highest marks scored in the preparatory grade in the recent musical examinations. She also won the medal presented for the same grade by Mr T. (1. Grubb.
At the school this afternoon, Lieutenant Buchler was made presentations from the Primary School and also from the High School and Cadets. Mr P. Skoglnnd (Chairman of the School Committee) referred in eulogistic terms to Lieutenant Bnchler’s action in enlisting, which, he asserted, was an example to dozens of shirkers who remained still. Lieutenant Buchler feelingly replied, and hade the children “an revoir” in thanking them for their kind presentations. Mr F. Tyrer, in the course of a few remarks, stated that the efficiency of the Cadets was due to Lieutenant Buchler, who was a gentleman, and therefore would he a good officer.
