The Press Association at Wanganui states: A slaughtering license was granted last night to the Christchurch Meat Freezing Company in connection with the establishment of new works here, tenders for which will lie called iwthin a fortnight. The directors decided to include a preserving plant in the works. The machinery has already been ordered from Home. Messrs McLean and Co’s, tender was accepted by the Company for the erection of an 800 ft. jetty from the works, at which the produce will be loaded into lighters for transhipment to the Home boats, / ’
