ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

BOY ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED, Per Press Association. Gore, August 16. Stanley Paterson, aged nine years (son of . John Paterson, who was recently ploughman on the Knapdale estate), was drowned in the Waikakn river opposite East Gore yesterday afternoon. With his brother, he was driving geese out of the river,'when deceased’s cap fell into the water, and the hoy overreaching himself, fell in and was drowned. At the inquest a verdict of accidental drowning was returned.
