w -' v HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. ’ One of flip finest programmes yet placed before a Stratford audience was tlihumi upon the screen for the last time on Saturday evening, and was witnessed liy crowded audiences both at the matinee and-evening performances. To-night a complete change of programme takes place, and amongst the films to he screened will he that famous Selig serial wild animal drama (No. 0) Adventures of Kathlyn, entitled “The Spellbound Multitude.” This serial picture has increased in popularity with each section, and it is said continues so until the last of the series No. Id is reached. “The King’s Move in the City” (star), a powerful drama in two parts is the principal feature in the new programme. Included in this change are two Keystone screamers, entitled “Her Winning Punch” and “Fatty and Mabel’s Wash Day.” the latter featuring the popular screen actress, Mabel Norland. The remaining pictures are “The Prize Baby” (comedy), “The Bears Omelette” (serial cartoon), and the popular War Gazette. SCOTTISH COMEDIANS. The' fascinating “Buuty Pulls the Strings” is to have a successor in “A Scrape o’ the Pen,’" a chaiming com chi v of Scottish farm life which is to go on at the Town Hall on Wednesday.' The new play is described by the Sydney Daily Telegraph as far more than a scrape, it being an exquisitely carved cameo of a little community. To speaking of the play, the critic said “There are many passages that tug at the heart strings. Sometimes tears are very near to the surface, hut the balance is very cleverly kept on the ripht side.” Included in the cast for the New Zealand production are no less than five artistes new to the Dominion, who have been specially brought nut to play their original part. These include Miss Margaret Noble (an actress who ha,s been with Mi Moffat ever since his lecturing days), Miss Mattie McLellan (who plays the heroine), Miss Gertie Henderson (an English lady amongst a lot of Scotch people), Mr Robert Purdies?, the wayward son), and Mr Alex Hunter (the rugged manager of Honeynenk Farm). Both Air and Mrs Moffat are playing their original parts of Mattha and Leezie Inglis respectively. The Box Plan is now open at Grnhh’s.
