At a' meeting of the ..Ladies’, J?atriptic Committee, held this afternoon, the Mayoress (Mrs .1. W. Boon) presiding, a letter was read from tho Countess of Liverpool urging tho necessity of providing leather waistcoats for the troops at the Dardanelles for the coming winter, and pointing oht ’the desirability 0C acting speedily. It was decided, therefore, to make, a street collection in Stratford to-morrow for this special purpose. It is estimated that 5000 of these waistcoats are required to he found, and the cost of the ! materials fori making them amounts to about 5s each. The object is a very worthy one.
