THE OUTPUT OF SPELTER. United Press Association. (Received 9.10 a. id.) London, August 11. A City group, headed by -Mr. .Richard Tildeu Smith, has purchased the German combines at Swansea and the Vale zinc smelting works with the intention to increase the output of spelter from live thousand to twenty-live thousand per annum. Supplies will he drawn from the Burma zinc mines, which have a plant the facsimile of Germany’s. City people consider this acquisition to lie an advantage over the Zinc Corporation and Broken Hill Company’s offer.

t Received l).-lo a.in.) London, August 11. Lord was dancing with his fiancee, the daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Heevor, when the Zeppelin alarm was raised, and he hurried to the aerodrome. The dance was stopped, and Lord was killed half au hour later.
