STRATFORD HOSPITAL BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. i I The usual meeting of the Stratford Hospital Board was held yesterday, present: Messrs J. McAllister (chair-, man), E. Hine, A. Meredih, It. McK. Morison, 0. 1). Sole, and E. Walter. A letter was received from the Eg monfc Cluh inviting members to he present at the farewell social to he tended to the next draft of reinforcements to go into camp.—The invitation was accepted with thanks. A motion that the Board contribute £2 2s to the funds of tho Volunteer Nursing Sisters was lost. Mr Sole's motion: "That the request of the Otago Hospital Board for support in its opposition to the book-keeping innovations bo acceded to," was seconded by Mr Walter and carried. Mr Sole also moved: "That the Board endeavour to have the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act amended as to payment of members' expenses by deleting th 9 words 'actually paid' from the clause dealing with the matter.'-' Mr Moriuon seconded the motion and'it was carried unanimously. It was also decided that a copy of the resolution be sent to the Minister of Health
