SOMETHING'S DOING! ALLIES' SENSIBLE PROGRESS DURING LAST TWO DAYS. United Press Association. (Received 12.55 p.m.) Athens. The Allies have been making sensible progress on land and sea at the Dardanelles during the last two days. THE FIGHT FOR KRITHIA. (Received 12.15 p.m.) I London, August 10. The Press Bureau states: general Sir lan Hamilton reports fighting at several points during the last tew davs. Substantial progress was made two-hniulred yards \on the tront and three hundred gained in the southern zone eastward of Krithia. Hie , ground, was held despite determined >CQUliter attacks, which were repulsed with heavy losses. Repeated Turkish attacks in the same zone were beaten off. A French corps made several attacks, and their whole-hearted cooperation proved of the greatest assistance in obtaining a footing a,t Chunuk Fair. A portion of Sari Banwas, also gained, and one crest was occupied after fierce fighting and the successful storming of strongly-held positions, the enemy's losses being considerable. This advance began at night time under cover of a destroyer's searchlight. A.fresh landing was ' 'successfully effected, elsewhere, and considerable progress made. We took 680 prisoners, a Xordenfeldt gun, two bomb mortars, mine machine guns, .many bombs, and captured quantities of rifles and ammunition and .equipment, which was scattered about. /
ALLIED FORGES LANDED AT NEW POINTS.

A Turkish communique states: Tiider the protection of the Fleet, the enemy on the night of the 7th landed forces partly in the neighbourhood of Karatchali, north of the Gulf of Saros, and partly at two points northward of Ari Burnu. We completely dispersed those landed at Karatchali, and the enemy left twenty dead. Thos» northward of Ari Bunm slightly advanced under the Fleet's protection, but we repelled the attacks, making prisoners of some soldiers N and officers. We had considerable successes repelling attacks near Sedcb el Bahr.
AEROPLANE SINKS SUBMARINE.
' Constantinople, August 10. Ari'• aeroplane sank an Allies' submarine near Bulair with i bombs.
