WHAT OF tI|E ZEPPELINS?
INACTIVITY FORNISHES PUZZLE :■,•■ i PANIC CAUSED BY WARNEFORD United Pekm Association. (Received 8:30 a.m.) London, August 9, -•Military writers are puzzled to account for the complete inactivity of Zeppelins. Since the memorable happenings of June 7, the offensive seems to be completely broken. All ' the giant concrete steel'hangars, which were built at great expense within the occupied territory, are said to be deserted. -The sheer blanched fright which followed the destruction of 1/37 and L3B sent the aerial invaders recoiling to Germany. It is impossible to exaggerate the panic which accompanied the fall of- the blazing body of the airship that Warneford destroyed. It was not only an absolutely new machine, but it had on board several of Count Zeppelin's chief engineers.
