A deputation of .clergy representing uuprotestant Catholic churches asked the Premier to establish a wet canteen camp for the sale of beer only, and to restrict the hours of sale of liquor to soldiers. It was urged that this would enable the (Jovernrnent to control the sale and regulate the quantity of the drink. The Premier promised to submit the proposal to the military authorities, in whose province the matter lav.
