RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. Pit ess Association. Christchurch, August 5. There were ideal conditions at Riocarton this morning. The outside portion of the trial grass track was open, and most of the work was done on it. Fabrikoff covered seven furlongs iu 1.30 1-5. Harbour Light beat Sam Pan over a mile on -the tan in 1.48 2-5. Captain Glossop did steady work. St. Elm, -Multiply and Vascular gave a good exhibition of jumping once round the hurdles.. Ruangata gave a satisfactory display over the schooling hurdles. Fagot and Sandy Paul did schooling task over the big fences, and gave a good exhibition over the centre six furlongs, which were run ■i;i 1.17 2-5. Lord Frederick jumped two hurdles well. Nicomar boat Lion and Toki ovor five in 1.44 1-5. Banksia a id Xanthos ran five in 1.3 2-5. Xanpata gave a safe exhibition once round of the schooling fences. Agatha (Been fell at the first fence, but subsequently got round; it was a moderate display. Diavolo jumped two hurdles moderately. Rirkline beat Haskayne in a sprinting task, the last half mile being run iu 52sces. Master Hamilton, Muddite, and Cilenowl, in a flight, gave a good exhibition once round the, hurdles. Glenroy did a very smart performance, beating Raupani and Royal Arms over a mile on the grass in 1.41. Bee beat Cornet over six in 1.17 2-5. The following horses arrived from North to-day: Glenmorc, Grey Renown, Captain Maekay, Admiral Souit, Handalero. Hlnestone and Loloma.
