j (General Sir lan Hamilton reports: On Monday, on the right position held by tin* Australian and New Zealand Corps, a successful attack was carried 'out against a' network of Turkish IreiiVhes, which were beginning to threat 'en the safety of an advanced post called Tasmania Post. The attack consisted of the bombardment of neighbouring works and the explosion of 'three mines under a section of the trench. The sections were occupied immediately, and another section rushed with the bayonet. 'The Turks did not counter-attack. At least seventy Turks wore killed. The result was the gain of the crest of a ridge, which materially improved the position on that section of the line.
