(Received 8.35 a.m.) London, August L A private of the Fifth ATgyles, who was wounded at the Dardanelles, states that German officers strap the Turk's to the machine guns, which are fastened to the ground by holts, a number of Turks having been found sitting thus in a wounded condition.,
WOUNDED ARRIVE IN ENGLAND*

.Many of the wounded at the Dardanelles have arrived at Plymouth. There is only one bad case, the rest being fully convalescent owing to the vovage. while all are optimistic of the progress being made at Gallipoli. BLOCKADE OF ASIA MINOR, London, July 30. Vnssniiz Zeddin inspected the Tnrksubmarines have been brought o‘ inland ready for service in the Gulf of Smyrna. The Anglo-French fleet is blockading the coast of Asia Minor. A TURKISH PREDICTION Athens, July 31.
Yssufiz Zeddin inspected the Turkish troops in Ariburmi, and met with an enthusiastic reception. He declared it is impossible for the Allies to succeed, and predicted that the Turkish Empire will be re-established and more powerful than ever.
RUSSIAN TORPEDOERS ACTIVE. Petrograd, July 31. Official: Our torpedo boats shelled the Sidle batteries, near the Bosphorus. and sank a collier and forty-, seven sailers.
