TROTTING. WAIMATE PLAINS MEETING. Favoured with magnificent weather a large attendance and dig holds ot good horses from all parts of New Zealand, it is not to be wondered at (hat the inaugural totalisator meeting of the Waimate Plains Trotting Club held yesterday on the Hawera racecourse, was a complete success. Close and exciting finishes were common, and it is sale to say the sport of trotting has gained many more lollowers in this district by reason ol yesterday’s meeting. Mr C.
