The programme will open with the Hunters' Flat, for which event Warea, Lady Strowan, and Captain Dick should provide a good race. A large number will lace the barrier for toe Stratford Hack. If Zion were well, the winner would not be hard to find, but 1 hear the daughter of St. Clements is not herself/. Should this be correct, Glacier should start favorite, although Lady Amai and Coropet must run well. A small Held will start for the Bracelet Steeplechase, but, nevertheless, the event will be interesting. Looplino uvbo is a fine jumper/, and Warea .should command most'respect. The field for the Waihi Hack will bo a very large one. Fortify, Patronata, and Glacier are a likely trio. The North Taranaki Hunt Club Cup has drawn a fair crowd, and a really good contest should take place. Consul (who is a fair horse). Expedition, and Loopline should cany the bulk of investments. Of those engaged in the Lepperbon Hunters' Hurdles, Lady .Strowan and Warea are nicely handicapped. The Jiorses engaged j n the Opunako Scurry are practically unknown.
