DEALING WITH INTERNMENTS. United Prkss Association. (Received i .20 p.m.) ' London., .July 27. Sir John Simon announced that the Internment .Committee had practically concluded their work. There were fourteen thousand applications, for exemption, 6092 being granted and "08 refused. Seven thousand had not !>een determined. The number of internments since 13th May totalled 9325, and repatriations 6302. An average of 6000 internments weekly would be completed in August. The committee is favouring the Austrian applications in view of their leniency \ to the British in Austria in contrast, to Germany.
