THE SCOTTISH BAZAAR.
OTENED THIS AFTERNOON. His Worship the Mayor (Mr J. W. Boon) opened the "Scottish baza a.- at the Town Hall this afternoon at three o'clock. The weather was all that could he desired, and many patronised the bazaar during the afternoon. .In his remarks, Air Boon said .the committee and their .'helpers deserved great credit.for their splendid- efforts. They were disappointed last Tuesday, but Scottish . determination had carried them through, and as a result they had been rewarded with splendid weather. 'He felt sure the Hall would be packed, and a large sum collected to assist the wounded and sick. He had much pleasure in declaring the bazaar open. The Hall was gay with flags and hunting,, and evidently the committee have worked hard. The .bazaar will he open this evening, when a concert and dance will he held.
